Impacting Communities: George Harris Memorial Fund

We’re proud to announce this year’s George Harris Memorial Fund scholarship recipients – Julie Rabe and Coy Bowser – two students whose leadership, work ethic, and commitment to their communities reflect the qualities George Harris exemplified throughout his life and career.

Julia Rabe is pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering at Purdue University. She’s a member of the Navy ROTC, preparing for a future of service and leadership, and she plays an active role in the Boiler Green Initiative, working to improve sustainability on campus.

Coy Bowser is studying Petroleum Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. Alongside his academic work, he’s a member of the Men’s Rugby team, serves as the Fundraising Event Coordinator for the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and is the Vice President of Fundraising for the Mines Club Sports Council.

Both Julia and Coy are already making a difference — leading, building, and giving back in ways that create lasting impact. Supporting students like them is at the heart of the George Harris Memorial Fund’s mission: investing in the next generation of engineers who will shape our communities and our industry.

Congratulations, Julia and Coy. We can’t wait to see where your hard work and vision take you next.
