Teammate Spotlight: Jacob Westphalen

Jacob, a University of Wisconsin-Madison alum, brings a strong track record of success leading complex, highly technical projects – from secure SCIF facilities to life sciences, healthcare, and multifamily developments. His detail-oriented and organized approach helps him work seamlessly with clients, design teams, and trade partners to resolve coordination issues early and keep projects moving efficiently.

What drew Jacob to FH was more than just the projects or the people. It was the mindset – a culture where curiosity is valued alongside experience, tough problems are welcomes, and growth is expected, not just performance. That energy motivates him daily and makes FH a team he’s excited to be on.  

Outside of work, Jacob has an active lifestyle – hiking, biking, skiing, and weightlifting – mirroring his work ethic: disciplined, focused, and always pushing to be better. His passion for sports reflects his team-first mentality and competitive spiriting, qualities that carry over into how he leads and collaborates on site.  

Jacob’s combination of technical skill, curiosity, and whole-person drive makes him an invaluable part of the FH team and a key contributor to our success.
